Lawyer by the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (1955) with a Master’s degree in Comparative Law by Southern Methodist University (1956) and a Master’s Degree in Law by Yale University (1957). Founding partner and current member of Estudio Llona & Bustamante Abogados, his professional practice is concentrated in the areas of corporate and partnership law. He has been General Secretary of the Presidency of the Republic (1963-1966); Vice-President of the Peruvian Corporation of Airports and Commercial Aviation, CORPAC, (1966-1968) and Member of the Commission that prepared the draft of the current General Corporations Law (1996-1998). He has also served as director of several Peruvian and transnational companies, such as Reiser & Curioni S.A., Secrex, Industria Peruana de Metales y Derivados S.A., Barlocher del Perú S.A. Bristol Myers del Perú S.A., Xerox del Perú S.A., and Xerox del Perú S.A.
